DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS
1. Share a time when you were forced to accept a situation you disagreed with and had to continue to love people that were making a bad decision.
2. Samuel has to flip-flop on giving the people a king from chapter 8 to chapter 12 because God tells him to. How do Samuel’s words in 12:20-25 teach us to react to people we love who aren’t doing what we think is best?
3. How do v14-15 show us what really matters in leadership? Is there any difference between these two verses and what Samuel tells the people to do in chapter 7:3? What do these verses teach us about what really matters for the people and it’s leaders?
