Community Groups
While some congregations may have Community Groups, we desire our congregation to be Community Groups. Community Groups are gatherings of 6 to 12 people meeting in homes throughout our community during the week. They provide an opportunity for intimacy, mutual support, practical love and service, learning about the Christian faith, prayer, and sharing of what God is doing in our midst. All groups are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who are given continual oversight and support.

What to expect - You can expect a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Unless otherwise noted, Community Group discussion is based on the Sermon Discussion Questions from the previous Sunday bulletin. If you missed the sermon, don't let that stop you from attending. If you like, you can find the audio for the latest sermon here. Groups also usually include a time of sharing what's going on in each others' lives, prayer requests and praying for one another.
What level of commitment is required? While the benefits of Community Groups are experienced best with regular attendance, there are no commitment requirements. Please feel free to check out different groups, visit as frequently or infrequently as you like, change groups or stop attending at any time.
If you have any questions concerning community groups, or are interested in leading a group, please contact Mark Maliepaard at or 619.546.6834.
